Very Good and Exceptionally Large Georgian Tilt-Top Tripod Table in Mahogany, English Circa 1770

The large circular top exhibits fine colour & graining and is affixed to its original tilting mechanism mounted atop a robust single column, raised upon three finely proportioned cabriole supports terminating to pad slipper feet.

Diameter - 48”, Height - 29.5" 

(This is without question the largest example of an 18th century circular tilt-top breakfast / centre table that I have encountered to date) (Please note that the vertical lines visible in the image illustrating the top in its upright position are merely reflections of display cases from within the showroom, there is however an old scar beneath the finish which is not visible in the image).
