Three 18th Century Hand Coloured Orientalist Views of Egypt, Circa 1740
These fine mid 18th century orientalist hand coloured copper engravings having full margins, were originally drawn in 1737 by Frederik Ludvig Norden, engraved & printed by Markus Tuscher in 1743 & 1744. All three engravings are un-framed with full margins, measuring 11” high x 18.5” wide.

These plates are the earliest & most significant illustrations drawn prior to Dominique Vivant Denon’s (1747-1825) account in 1799, published in 1802.
