A very handsome and signed pair of 19th century Federal style brass andirons by the Rostand manufacturing company. The Rostand foundry began manufacturing high quality brass wares in the post civil war period and serviced The United States Navy's 'Great White Fleet' during President Teddy Roosevelt's administration.
