Pair of Louis XVI Style Giltwood Fauteuils, France Circa 1900

A very handsome pair of giltwood fauteuils in the Louis XVI style, both frames showing arched & padded backrests, sided by padded armrests terminating to carved grips over generously proportioned seats, decorated overall with carved & molded foliate motifs, and raised on toupie supports. Areas of wear & minor loss to gilding consistent with age & use.
Dimensions, 40” high x 27” wide x 24” deep (seat height, 18”).
