Mixed Media Surrealist Lithograph Titled 'Light Brigade' by Robert A. Nelson

A limited-edition, mixed-media surrealist lithograph printed on archival deckle edge paper with blind stamp, the bottom margin showing the artists handwritten notations, referencing the limited-edition number VII / XII, the title and his signature & date. Measuring 35.75” high x 24” wide (unframed).

Robert A. Nelson (1930-2012) received both his B.F.A. & his M.F.A. in 1950 & 1951 respectively from the Art Institute of Chicago. He was also the recipient of the illustrious 'Purchase Prize' in the 31st National Exhibition of Boston Printmakers and was later awarded the Cezanne medal from the government of France in 1961.

Robert Nelson’s work is represented in the permanent collections of The De Cordova Museum, The Seattle Art Museum, The Rourke Art Gallery-Museum, the Smithsonian Institute and The New York Museum of Modern Art who owns three of his lithographs & two collages.

His works has been offered & sold at various notable American galleries including The City Folk Gallery in Lancaster Pennsylvania, USA.
