A Fine 19th Century Posthumous Portrait Miniature of Kaiser Joseph II (1740-1790)

 

The Holy Roman Emperor & Ruler of the Hapsburg Monarchy 1780-1790, shown wearing the Order of the Golden Fleece and dressed in similar attire as shown in a pair of portraits together with his wife, Isabella von Bourbon-Parma, by Martin van Meytens the Younger (1695-1770).

Signed lower right M. de Meytens and set within a fine, embossed gilt metal frame.

Sight dimensions, 2.3/8” high x 2.75” wide, framed dimensions, 4” high x 3.25” wide.
