  • Early 20th Century Plans for a British 24-Pounder Cannon by Harold Underhill

    An original mimeographed 1/10th scale set of plans for a British 24 Pounder cannon by noted British draughtsman & author, Harold A. Underhill (1897-1965). Very little is known of Mr. Underhill's early life, other than he was raised in the English Midlands, where despite his topographical location he became completely enamoured by the sea & sailing vessels. He later moved to Birmingham where he articled in a Birmingham architects office, then at the outbreak of the 1st World War he enlisted in the Royal Engineers Service Corp, during which time he was awarded the British Military Cross for Gallantry. After the war he moved to Glasgow where he opened an office producing authentic prints & drawings of sailing vessels, as well as authoring several books on the subject. Dimensions, 21” high x 29” wide.

    This is without doubt the perfect addition to any militaria or marine collection.
