A Late 18th / Early 19th Century Dutch Delft Tea Caddy, Circa 1800

 

A very charming antique tin-glazed Dutch delft tea caddy of rectangular form, decorated overall with hand painted foliate, floral & latticework designs in a striking palette of vermillion, black, green & cobalt. The squared shoulders decorated with a running border of vermillion latticework intersected by flowerheads in cobalt blue, rising to a short neck fitted with a cork stopper (possibly a later replacement), the underside of the base showing maker / factory marks in cobalt blue.   

Measuring 4.25” high x 2.5” deep x 2.5” wide.
