An Exceptionally Large Art Deco Silver & Enamel Jewellery Box, Hallmarked Birmingham 1922

The serpentine-shaped case showing a hinged lid decorated in striking powder-blue enamel over radiating engine-turned motifs, the interior lined in navy-blue velvet and raised overall on robust ball & claw supports. Both the case & lid bearing Birmingham hallmarks & date marks for 1922, together with partially rubbed maker’s marks which appear to be those for Deakin & Francis. Dimensions, 3.75” high x 7.5” wide x 7.5” deep.

Of exceptional quality and in fine overall condition with only two very minor blemishes to the enamelling.
