An Early 20th Century Aesthetic Movement Enamelled Armorial Charger, Circa 1900

A highly decorative and richly enamelled porcelain armorial charge showing a rim banded with organic motifs in a striking palette of cobalt blue, burnt sienna, yellow and green enamels, the central field decorated with an armorial cartouche depicting a lion's head with its mouth issuing similar organic and foliate elements. The reverse showing partially rubbed marks of what appear to be both numerals and letters within a rectangular red lozenge. Further research pending. Diameter, 10.75
