An Early 19th Century Georgian Silver Snuff Box by Thomas Willmore, Birmingham 1802
A very good early 19th century Georgian sterling silver pocket snuff box of oblong form, the top fitted with an exacting fine flush-mounted hinge, the reverse bearing impressed Birmingham hallmarks, date mark for 1802 and makers marks for Thomas Willmore.
Weight, 17 grams. Dimensions: .5” h x 1.75” w x 1” d.
In remarkably good overall condition without any repairs or later decoration.
(Thomas Willmore is a well listed and highly regarded Birmingham silversmith who was one of the original founders of the Birmingham Assay office that was established in 1773).
