An Austrian Silver & Enameled Commemorative Cigarette Case, Dated 1916

The front of the case showing a well detailed road map executed in coloured enamels, commemorating the tour of “The United Motor Car Columns of the K.U.K., Sud-Tirol 1916”. The sprung lid opens to reveal a richly gilded interior bearing the signatures of the participants of the tour, including impressed maker marks for noted Viennese silversmiths Kurzer & Wolf. The exterior bearing impressed Vienna assay marks & silver marks denoting .900 silver fineness. Dimensions, 3.5” wide x 3.5” high x .5” deep.
