An Assortment of 19th Century ‘Greek Pattern’ Herculaneum Pottery, England Circa 1805
Consisting of one large oval shaped comport, four circular plates, two quatrefoil-shaped bowls and a rectangular shaped chestnut basket & flat. Each item showing with black & white transfer decoration depicting neoclassical themes set against a terracotta vermiculé ground, the reverse of each body bearing an impressed H for Herculaneum Potteries, Liverpool. Herculaneum Potteries produced wares for a relatively short period of time, from 1793-1841. (Condition of each item varies, commensurate with material and age. Condition reports are available upon request)
