A William & Mary Period Inlaid Chest of Drawers in Walnut, English Circa 1700
The finely proportioned and richly figured walnut case showing a cross-banded & inlaid top above a pair of short drawers overtop three tiers of graduated full width drawers, their fronts featuring marquetry motifs of foliage, fruiting vines & game birds within oval lozenges, fitted with later but stylistically correct drop pulls. The sides showing inlaid oval panels within cross-grained spandrels. French polished overall and raised upon a later bracket-shaped base. Areas of conservation, condition report available upon request.
