A Very Good MCM Lounge Chair by Luigi Tiengo for Cimon Ltd., Canada Circa 1963

 

A very good MCM lounge chair designed by Luigi Tiengo for Cimon Ltd., the frame is upholstered in what appears to be its original avocado-green fabric together with its matching loose cushion. The frame is mounted to its original tri-corn walnut base that remarkably still retains the original Cimon Ltd. customer order slip stapled to the base, thereby fully establishing the chairs authenticity.

Dimensions, 37” high (seat height, 16”) x 31” wide x 33” deep.

 

Luigi Tiengo is a very successful Italian born artist & furniture designer who was awarded several Canadian national design awards, many of his designs including this lounge chair, were produced in 1963 by the Canadian manufacturer, Cimon Ltd., located in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
