A Very Good & Heavy 19th Century British Sterling Silver Christening Mug, London 1866
The baluster shaped body showing richly embossed foliate & scrolled motifs, having a gilt washed interior and affixed to a foliate inspired handle, raised overall upon a spreading circular foot. The underside bearing full hallmarks and makers marks for George Richards & Edward Brown. In excellent overall condition. Height, 4.25” high (base to thumbpiece) x 2.5” diameter. Weight 201 grams (6.46 troy ounces).
