A Very Good 19th Century Sterling Silver Snuff Box, Hallmarked Birmingham 1839

A very handsome 19th century sterling silver snuff box of oblong form, engraved overall with engine turned undulating wavy motifs, the hinged lid engraved with a monogrammed shield shaped cartouche, opening to a richly gilded interior bearing Birmingham hallmarks for 1839 together with maker's marks for Taylor & Perry. Dimensions, 1” high x 3” wide x 1.5” deep. Weight, 80 grams.
