A Very Fine Regency Period Rosewood Book Carrier after a Design by Gillows, English Circa 1830

The rectangular platform divided lengthwise by a spindled partition, braced at either end by scrolled supports that flank a similarly turned gallery with turned horizontal carrying handles, raised overall upon four compressed bun-shaped feet. The under-side retaining its original cabinetmakers label for Christopher Hanson. Dimensions, 17” long x 8.25” high x 13” deep
