  • A Unique Collection of Wet & Dry Trout Flies & Lures, Canadian Circa 1965

     

    A large & most unusual collection of vintage hand-tied wet & dry trout flies, all mounted & described with typed labels, and set within a hinged, hard carrying case. Purportedly made by an inmate at Saint Vincent de Paul Penitentiary in Laval Quebec during the 1960’s. The accompanying handwritten note is contained within a manilla envelope retaining its original postmarked & dated Canada Post label, referencing ‘Hull, Quebec 1965’, addressed to ‘Satellite Industrial, Mr. Renee Latreille, 200 St. Francis, St. Vincent de Paul. PQ’., the return address shown upper right corner, ‘157 Montcalm, Hull QC’.

    Each of the five panels measures 23.75” high x 15.75” wide, note: some panels are incomplete. The case measures, 17.75” high x 25.75” wide x 4” deep.
