A Signed Japanese Boxwood Netsuke of a Monkey Riding a Rabbit, Showa Period (1926-1989)

 

An amusing hand carved & stained boxwood netsuke depicting a monkey riding atop a rabbit, both their eyes inset with horn cabochon pupils (one pupil missing), exhibiting an aged surface & patina, signed with etched characters on the rabbits rear right flank. Measuring 2” high.
