A Pair of Early 19th Century Anglo-Irish Cut Glass Spirit Decanters, Circa 1830
Both greyish glass barrel-shaped bodies decorated with a broad band of wheel-cut diamond shaped facets, rising to multi-ringed necks fitted with their original radial cut stoppers. Both fitted within a later, associated silver plated caddy mounted on ball feet.Decanters with these diminutive proportions were used specifically for distilled spirits such as brandy, rum or gin as opposed to port or still wines.
