A ‘Naughty’ 19th Century Hand Painted & Black Lacquered Papier-Mâché Snuff Box

A very charming 19th century black lacquered papier-mâché pocket snuff box, the lid decorated with an amusing hand painted 'naughty' vignette depicting two women of loose virtue standing in a doorway flirting with two merry-making gentlemen. The lid opening on barrel hinges to an interior decorated with a red painted monogram 'I.P.H Priv.', beneath a red painted silhouette of a fox.
