This fine pair of 18th century sterling silver asparagus tongs remains in extremely good overall condition, bearing London hallmarks and date marks for 1791, together with maker’s marks for Henry Chawner.

Weight, 114 grams. Length, 9.5"

The circular medallion attached to the asparagus tongs was used by members of the British Antique Dealers Association for export purposes, to verify that the item is at least 100 years old, thereby negating import duty charges.
