A Fine & Near Pair of Regency Inspired Silver-Plated Sauce Tureens, England Circa 1910
A very handsome & near identical pair of Regency style silver-plated sauce tureens, showing lobe decorated bodies fitted with conforming lids, sided by lion’s masks with ring handles and raised overall upon squared bases atop winged lions paw supports. The undersides of both bases bearing British makers marks, one for the highly regarded silversmith firm of Barker Brothers, the other for the highly regarded silversmith firm of Charles Howard Collins, both of Birmingham England. One tureen measures 7” high x 6.5” diameter (across the handles), the other measures 6.75” high x 6.25” diameter (across the handles). Both remain in fine overall condition.
