A Fine Japanese Ivory Ryusa Manju Netsuke, Edo Period (Late 18th / Early 19th Century)
Comprised of two hand carved & pierced dome-shaped ivory panels, one side depicting a Buddhistic figure holding a peach, surrounded by attendants holding offerings, framed within a carved border of bamboo stalks & fronds, the opposing side similarly addressed with recumbent figures and attendants with fans the centre affixed with a paktong flange & loop. Dimensions, 1” high x 2.75” diameter
