A Fine & Impressive Pair of Rococo Inspired Gilt Bronze Wall Sconces, Continental Circa 1900

 

A fine pair of gilt bronze wall sconces cast in the Rococo manner, showing cartouche shaped & pierced rocaille backplates with finely chiseled foliate detail, supporting a trio of foliate cast branches rising to urn-shaped nozzles atop flattened drip pans. The reverse of both backplates bearing impressed foundry marks E.G.G.

Dimensions, 18" high x 15.75" wide x 10" deep.

Both require re-wiring. Weighing a substantial 25.2 lbs. (combined).
