A Fine George III Sterling Silver Wine Funnel, Hallmarked London 1812

Attributed to Elizabeth Morley

The foliate embossed bowl with a fine gilded interior, fitted with a plain thumb-piece and retaining its original muslin suspension ring, coupling to a detachable funnel with reeded detail. The bowl hallmarked London 1812 – the foot with makers marks EM (E with miss-strike), the funnel & muslin ring also bearing makers marks EM, all consistent with marks for British woman silversmith Elizabeth Morley.

Weight, 99 grams. Height, 5”, diameter 3.75”

In very good condition overall with no bruising or dents, minor wear consistent with age and use.
