A Fine George III Inlaid Satinwood Tea Caddy, England Circa 1800 The finely grained exterior edged with kingwood banding & ebony stringing, the lid opening to reveal a Honduran mahogany panel centred by a conch shaped marquetry paterae, the interior fitted with twin canisters having partridgewood lids also decorated with conch shaped marquetry paterae, flanking a burr elm veneered insert meant to receive a glass mixing bowl. Retains its functioning lock mechanism & key.
Dimensions, 6” high x 12” wide x 6” deep. Exhibiting a fine honey-coloured patina and an old French polished finish.
