  • A Fine Early 18th Century Chinese Blue & White Porcelain Dish, Yongzheng Period (1722-1735)

     

    The central field decorated with flowering lotus branches & flowerheads, the cavetto shoulder decorated with a repeating panel of geometric leafy designs interspersed by panels of auspicious symbols, repeated on the lip together with additional auspicious & scholarly designs of bound scrolls, Joo-e wands, coins & tiered canopies, terminating to an oxide rim. The underside showing trailing vines in cobalt, raised overall on a circular unglazed foot-rim, one minor flake noted to the underside of the rim. Diameter, 9”.
