Titled ‘View of Winchester Cathedral’ bottom left and signed bottom right, set within an early 20th century gilt gesso frame. Dimensions: (sight) 13.25" high x 20.5" wide, framed: 21" high x 27.75" wide.
Henry John Kinnaird (1861-1929) was a highly accomplished British artist who excelled at painting country landscapes & river views and exhibited nine works at the prestigious Royal Academy in London (RA) and eight works at the Royal Society of British Artists (RBA) Suffolk House. He is also listed in the 2nd Edition of 'The Dictionary of Victorian Painters' by Christopher Wood, as well as in the 2nd Edition of 'The Dictionary of British Watercolour Artists up to 1920' by H.L. Mallalieu.
