A Chinese Blue & White Minyao “Peoples Wares” Porcelain Saucer, Chongzhen Reign (1627-1644)

 

The central field showing a medallion of overlapping petal motifs, radiating out to an auspicious Chou character (twisted peach tree) & lotus blossom designs, segmented by undulating linear & flower blossom designs. The underside showing a rough foot rim, centred by a cobalt underglaze shop mark within double rings, 2 minor hairline cracks to the shoulder. Dimensions, 1.25” high x 7.5” diameter.
