    A 19th Century Porcelain and Cloisonné ‘Totai’ Vase. Japanese, Meiji Period (1868-1912)
     

    The ovoid-shaped porcelain body decorated overall with matte turquoise enamelling interspersed with motifs of butterflies, flower blossoms and vinery, the rim & base decorated with white diamond-shaped lozenges set against a field of alternating light & dark green panels. Signed on the underside in characters for Matsuda Youheikou. Height: 10” (Some firing cracks visible to the interior of the body but do not transfer to the exterior, old hairline crack to rim)
