A 19th Century Chinese Enamelled Canton Porcelain Bottle Vase, Late Qing Period
The globular base finely decorated with hand painted enamels, depicting courtly figures in garden settings, the rounded shoulders rising to a slender neck with a flaring mouth, decorated with auspicious symbols of iron-oxide red bats, butterflies & lotus blossoms against a jade green enamel & gilt ground. Raised overall upon a conforming circular foot rim, the underside showing firing cracks. Height, 9.75”.
